Hello Lansdowne Neighbors and Friends!
It seems like fall is here in full-swing! Cooler temperatures, crisp air, the leaves are starting to change color and fall from the trees- I’m loving it!
There have been a lot of awesome things happening around town over this past month that have definitely kept me busy! As always, I am a regular fixture at the Lansdowne Farmers Market. I also attended the Lansdowne Business and Professionals Association meeting where Chief Rutherford talked with the group about business safety. Lastly, I attended the wonderful Minas concert at the Twentieth Century Club. The concert was so much fun, and it was so nice to see so many others there too!
Here is what’s coming up!
This Saturday from 11am to 1pm, dress up the kids and come to the Landing to celebrate Halloween! DJ Joe Foley will be on hand to spin some Halloween beats and I will be there handing out Trick or Treat bags packed with treats (while supplies last)! Kids, take your trick or treat bags to the LAST farmers market of the season and trick or treat with our wonderful vendors. It will also be the last community day at the Farmers Market, so you really do not want to miss this one. The bonus Farmers Market will take place on November 19th – just in time for you to grab some Thanksgiving fixin’s.
The Mayor’s Clean Team will get together for the last time on Saturday November 5th @ 10am at the Landing. If you can spare some time, I would love to see you! We will be focused on cleaning up the mural and any broken furniture that is on site. The Mayor’s Clean Team will resume in the spring.
And, as always, there are more things planned! You can check out the Borough calendar for all Borough sponsored events as well as our social media pages (@LansdowneBorough) to stay up to date on all of the happenings. As a reminder, you can also follow me on Facebook at Magda Byrne - Mayor of Lansdowne Borough.
I hope all of you enjoy the rest of your fall and I wish a happy and safe Halloween to all who celebrate! I look forward to seeing you around town…and maybe even in costume while you trick-or-treat! As always, I am here and ready to listen to all residents who would like to come to me with any questions, concerns, or feedback- or if you just want to chat!
Sincerely,
Mayor Magda Byrne
