Event Name: Black Lives Matter Street Mural Painting – Road Closure

Location: Green Ave. between E. Greenwood Ave. and E. Essex Ave. (There will be access to the residences on Clover Ave. and to the Penn Wood Administration Building only)
The William Penn School District, with the Borough’s approval, have contracted to have a Black Lives Matter Mural painted on Green Ave. in front of the High School.
Starting around 3 p.m. on Friday, June 10, 2022, Green Ave. will be shut down from E. Greenwood Ave. and Highland Ave. to E. Essex Ave. and Green Ave. Barricades, School District buses and Caution Tape will be used to block the street. One barricade and a “Do Not Enter” sign will be placed in the northbound lane of N. Highland Ave. at E. Greenwood Ave. This will still allow access to the residences on Clover Ave. and to the School District Administration Building. Two (2) barricades, Caution Tape and a School District bus will be placed in the area of the entrance to the Administration Building blocking Green Ave. Two (2) barricades, Caution Tape and a School District bus will be placed at E. Essex Ave. and Greenwood Ave. The School District buses will be stationary and the barricades will be positioned to allow access the High School only in case there is an emergency at the High School. The road closure will be set up by School Security and monitored by the Lansdowne Police throughout the week. See attached map.
There will be power washing and painting throughout the week by the contractors and volunteers.
