Lansdowne Borough Council, Lansdowne Parks and Recreation Board members, and Mayor Magda Byrne were joined by County Council Chair Dr. Monica Taylor, State Senator Tim Kearney, and Chief of Staff for Representative Gina Hackett Curry, Majovie Bland, in a Ceremonial Groundbreaking at the McKinley Avenue Tot Lot.
Construction begins in May with and is projected to end in August. The project continues the vision of Lansdowne Borough to preserve and develop greenspace opportunities, recreational opportunities, and neighborhood investment opportunities throughout all neighborhoods in Lansdowne Borough.
The project is funded through a $198,000 grant from the Department of Conservation of Natural Resources, $198,000 in Community Development and Building Grant money distributed by the County and support from the American Rescue Plan.
