Delaware County hosted its first Sustainability Conference on April 21, 2022. It was a free event, open to all and was held at the Waterfront at Subaru Park. The event was Zero-waste, vegan (plant-based), and SEPTA had special buses so transit was a viable option to getting there. The conference had experts and everyday sustainability heroes throughout the six focus areas: health and wellness, energy, zero waste, transportation, and climate resiliency/natural resources. There were over 100 people in attendance.
Carol Martsolf, of Lansdowne Borough Council, and liaison to the Lansdowne EAC and Parks and Recreation, was the “Master of Ceremonies” for the conference pictured in the first photo below.Lansdowne EAC had a table and was represented.
