Join the Bird Town Group at this year's Earth Day celebration on April 23rd from 11am to 3pm for fun bird themed activities!
Lansdowne’s celebration of Earth Day will include several bird-themed activities hosted by the Environmental Advisory Council's Bird Town Group:
- Construction of bird houses for teens (real carpentry!)
- Story time for children (Owl Babies for preschoolers and an anti-littering book for preteens)
- Bird-themed bingo—with prizes!
- Making bird and nature-themed origami
- Nature poetry workshop (no poetry experience needed!!! Let yourself be inspired by birds or nature in general)
- Opportunities to learn simple, money-saving ways to help birds and the whole Earth
- “Pretend to be a bird” for preschoolers
- Bird-themed tongue-twister challenge—with prizes!
- Bird and nature-themed coloring and word-searches for kids
- Making pretend binoculars for kids
