Congratulations to Nhaomi Lartey, Lansdowne Borough Junior Council Person, who was featured in the September issue of the Pennsylvania Borough News Magazine. The Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs (PSAB) published a profile of Lansdowne's Junior Council Person. It's quite an honor for Nhaomi to be featured in the September issue.
The article states: "Nhaomi Lartey was appointed the Lansdowne Borough, Delaware County, Junior Council Person in the spring. The then-10th grader at Pennwood High School’s Green Avenue Campus was sophomore class president and a member of the speech and debate team. In December of 2019, she participated in the Future Business Leaders of America’s Public Speaking Regional Competition. Lartey also has tutored elementary school students and was a special mobile programs volunteer at the Franklin Institute. In addition to attending council meetings, she helped with the Black History Month Send Us Your Stories campaign. Lartey has enjoyed her time on council and experiencing how the government works and how topics are discussed in a very open and honest way"
