The borough is divided into eight routes for collection of trash and recyclables.

Recycling Guidelines
Single Stream Recycling – Since February 1st, 2007 – “Recycling Made Simple”
It ALL goes in together
- Newspapers, Magazines, Catalogs
- Telephone/Soft Cover Books
- Junk Mail/Envelopes (all types)
- Paper (all colors, staples/paperclips are okay)
- Paperboard (cereal boxes – remove plastic liner, beer & soda carriers)
- Cardboard/Brown Paper Bags
- Plastic narrow neck bottles numbered #1-2
- (Soda/Juice/Water Bottles, Milk Jugs, Bleach/Detergent, Shampoo Bottles)
- Glass Bottles/Jars (any color)
- Metal Cans (tin/steel/aluminum)

What NOT to include:
- No Plastic Bags
- No Unmarked Plastics (laundry baskets/chairs/toys)
- No Windows/Light Bulbs
- No Dishes, No Pyrex, No Ceramics
- No Foam Packaging, No Styrofoam
- No Recyclables Containing Food Waste

Please remove all lids and rinse…
Also remember…
- If you need a container, call the Borough @ 610-623-7300
- Utilize the bins throughout the business district and at the train stations
- Look for portable recycling units at the 20th Century Club and at Lansdowne’s public events such as the Farmer’s Market and Arts Festival
- All apartments, condominiums and businesses are required to recycle!
- Igloos for depositing clear, green and brown glass are also available in the Highland Avenue parking lot.
