Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner

Friday, November 13th 7:00 p.m.
Lansdowne Public Library

This Oscar nominated film tackles the controversial subject of interracial marriage. When it was released in 1967, interracial marriage was outlawed in 16 states. The film was groundbreaking for its time, holding a mirror up to societal discomfort by looking at two families brought together by two young people in love.

Please join us as we revisit this classic film and the issues it raised. After the film our discussion will focus on what has changed in the years since its release and what is still relevant in American society today. You might be surprised.

This film is being presented by the Lansdowne Human Relations Commission, the Lansdowne No Place for Hate Committee and the Lansdowne Public Library.
