The Committee continued the preparation of the 2011 budget through presentations of the Director of Public Works, the acting Director of the Library and Library Board Treasurer and the Building Facilities Technician. The Committee reviewed the projected 2010 year-end and proposed 2011 revenue and expense for the Library. There was also a discussion of the staff reorganization and associated costs proposed by the Board and prior Library Director.
The Committee reviewed the 2010 and 2011 funding for the Sanitation and Highway departments and held discussions on the Public Works Director’s request for an additional trash truck. The Facilities Technician reviewed the various repairs and maintenance needs of the Borough’s buildings, some of which would result in energy efficiencies and future cost savings.
