  • December 5 – Council business meeting – Advertise budget for 10 day public comment

The Committee discussed creating criteria by which Council would approve donations to community organizations. Organizations requesting donations would need to:

  • Make a formal written request.
  • Provide a description of its programs and how it benefits the residents of Lansdowne
  • Provide information on the number of residents served
  • Be a 501c3 organization

Contributions may be in-kind (e.g., reduced rates at the 20th Century Club). Cash contributions should be in line with the budget.

The Committee reviewed the properties which have been unresponsive to Portnoff and will recommend Sheriff Sale proceedings begin.

The Treasurer described work that has been done to date on evaluating new accounting software. He is presently looking at Quick Books, Our Town and Accufund. He will provide an assessment of these products at the July Finance Committee meeting. The goal will be to install and be trained on the software by mid-August. The old and new systems would run parallel for several months.

The next Finance Committee meeting will be held July 2, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in Borough Hall.
