Ms. Coleman led a discussion on the available monies available for 20 Lansdowne Court. This conversation led to a review of the Capital Reserve Fund which has an opening balance of $139,000 of which $53,000 is already committed. An addition $50,000 is expected from DCED to help offset approximately an additional expense of $75,000 in climate control costs at the 20th Century Club.
The Committee reviewed the request from the Sanitation Department for a new sanitation truck to replace the 1992 vehicle currently in use. Mr. Bartley was asked to collect additional information on the 2009 and 2010 year-to-date maintenance expenses for this vehicle.
The Committee reviewed the question sent to them from the Economic Development/Codes Committee regarding setting trash fees for Bed and Breakfast establishments. The Committee is recommending that a Bed and Breakfast be charged one trash fee.
Ms. English and Ms. Lustgarten had met with the new library director to discuss an overall review of library staff positions and salaries. The director will be offering recommendations to the committee.
The Committee adjourned to Executive Session to discuss a personnel issue.
