Update on the scouting projects one by Greg Biche, He was able to construct a small bridge over a spring in Marlyn, Steve Costa is still working on the two park signs and we heard from Alex Reinhart and he needs to discuss a new project. The meeting was held at Marlyn this month and we were all able to view the new bridge.

Joe Urban, Council Liaison reports.
Joe said he had met with Barbara Sellie from the environment committee as to who would be over seeing the parks activities. They were both okay with the divisions Joe with the normal activities and Barbara with environmental issues. As to the issue involving incursion into the parks, Joe said if there was a major site plan council would notifying the residences with letters, Barbara committee will deal with issues like dumping and storm management. Bob had written up plans for a historical and park appreciation to be used for touring the park. Jack found many types of markers to identify trees and shrubbery, but with the cost of vandalism, we will hold off of any purchases at this time. Joe also suggested that we use the money in the budget for things that had been on Barry list that was giving to council last year. With the high cost of needed tree work for our parks, our board was hesitant on spend any of the monies from capitol inproments. Joe said that capitol improvements for established projects should still be considered.

Jeri Staiber, Recreation Director and finance report.
Jeri gave out the finical reports. Jeri will meet with Michael at Belmont to try to identify what toy will be added to that park. Jeri is also looking for other estimates for tree work there and at Marlyn. Jeri got one estimate for $9,000, at this price Jeri will need to send this work out for bids. Jeri will be asking for estimates for the entrances at Hayes Park and to fill the path that crosses the park to be filled in and reseeded.
